Dynamic Drones
Drones are an exciting use of technology that have captured the imagination of both children and adults in recent years. This unique programme was developed to teach and expose children to the world of radio controlled flying and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, UAVs. Campers will not only gain experience in radio controlled flying of conventional drones (commonly known as quadcopters), but they will learn flight concepts and fly radio-controlled kites and microplanes too.
We'll be digging through the history of Aviation, to draw on the fundemental concepts that have allowed aviators and scientists make roaring developments over the last century, including exploration in outer space. Participants will also learn about drone coding (via microcontrollers), drone assembly, and an introduction to drone-photography and surveillance - to mention a few exciting ones!
If you needed another reason to sign-on - all participants will receive an aviation kit and a mini-drone for their effort during the week!
"Drones was a good choice for my eldest (14) as she actually found controlling the drones challenging, and was able to share the experience with kids her own age every day".
